The FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022 will feature the world's top 12 women's national teams, with 38 games to be played from September 22 - October 1, 2022 in Sydney.

United Stataes having won gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics earned their place in the tournament as event hosts, Australia gained automatic entry. The final ten teams will qualify through the FIBA Women World Cup 2022 Qualifying Tournaments that will be held in February 2022.
